FABRICATOR / WELDER

Middletown | Permanent | £15.00 per hour

Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm

Role Overview

A local business in Middletown is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join its manufacturing team. This is a permanent position offering long-term stability and an immediate start for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to a high standard while working from technical drawings and maintaining quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

• Fabricate and weld components to required specifications

• Carry out high-amperage welding and metal cutting operations

• Assemble components and perform quality inspections

• Complete UKCA quality documentation accurately

• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean working environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines

• Follow all health and safety procedures and company standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven fabrication and MIG welding experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable:

• Abrasive wheels certificate

• Forklift licence

• Overhead crane certification
