A local business in Bishops Castle is looking for a Sawmill Operative to join its team. This is a hands-on role within a busy timber processing environment, involving the operation of machinery and the handling of timber products. Key Responsibilities

• Operate sawmill machinery safely and efficiently
• Cut and process timber to required specifications
• Load and unload materials and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Support colleagues with general production and site duties
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with the smooth running of daily operations

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or sawmill environment is advantageous but not essential
• Strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and proactive approach
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
