QUALITY MANAGER
Wrexham | Full time | From £45,000 per annum

Role Overview
A local automotive manufacturing business in Wrexham is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to maintain high standards, manage quality issues and support ongoing business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage warranty claims, returned parts and quality issues, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Raise, manage and close internal and external 8D reports to prevent recurring quality concerns.
- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and customers on quality-related matters.
- Conduct internal and product audits in line with relevant quality, environmental and health and safety management systems.
- Support third-party audits and drive continuous improvement to reduce non-conformances.
- Lead PPAP activities, sample approvals, product validation and requalification testing.
- Maintain calibration schedules, controlled documentation and quality records.
- Monitor and report quality performance, including KPIs, scrap, rework and warranty data.
- Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management System.
- Work collaboratively across departments to promote best practice and quality improvements.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years’ experience in quality management, ideally within the automotive manufacturing sector.
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- IATF 16949 Lead Auditor qualification/certification.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.
- Good working knowledge of VDA standards and requirements.
- Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive.
- Experience leading internal, customer and certification audits.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, customer requirements and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel when required.
