MIG Welder

Wrexham | Full Time | £15.50 per hour, increasing to £16.83 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:15pm

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard on a variety of metal components.
• Perform spot welding and JIG work as required.
• Weld frame parts together using designated JIGs and fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure welded products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with fabrication activities including cutting, shaping and fitting materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Work as part of the production team to achieve output targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 standards.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 would be advantageous.
