Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join the dynamic team in Newtown, Powys. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling components and ensuring that products meet quality standards.

This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our production line and delivering high-quality products to customers.
Salary – Dependent on skillset and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products according to specifications and drawings.
• Use a 3D CAD viewer to assemble items from general drawings.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
• Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse environment.
• Manage and keep an accurate parts list.
• Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
• Report any defects or issues encountered during the assembly process to the supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications (ideally using a CAD viewer).
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience in assembly work, preferably within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output in all tasks performed.
• Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
